Amazon recently launched a new high-resolution tier to its music service called Amazon Music HD. Sound United ‐ and in particular Denon and Marantz ‐ is a primary (but not exclusive) hardware launch partner.
The industry has been waiting for one of the Big Three music services (Amazon, Spotify and Apple) to move into hi-res. Now that Amazon has made the first move, the music industry has gotten behind Amazon's Ultra HD tier. (Amazon defines Ultra HD as content at least 24-bit 48kHz and up to 24-bit 192kHz and comes as part of the subscription to the Amazon Music HD tier.)
The HEOS, Denon and Marantz platforms are excellent technology fits for hi-res streaming.
