Russound streamers must be updated to avoid a possible interruption in SiriusXM service. This update only affects Russound customers using SiriusXM streaming internet service with a Russound DMS-3.1 streamer or X5 controller.
You must update the firmware on your customer's product by the last week in July in order to avoid a possible interruption in service. New updates will be available for the DMS-3.1 and X5 soon (see dates below). This firmware update will require visiting a customer's home to implement. We recommend that you start scheduling appointments with your customers to perform this essential update.
Important Dates:
An announcement will be made when the new firmware versions are available to update your Russound product. At that time, the new firmware will be available on the Russound Dealer Portal. For information on updating firmware, please refer to the firmware update procedure available in the zipped folder with the firmware version.
